Unfortunately, heart disease is a faithful companion for many people. In this case, you cannot do without the necessary medications that relieve pain and have a sedative effect. In the post-Soviet space, the main heroes in providing first aid for heart attacks have not changed for many years in a row. The good old German-made drug Valocordin and its new generation twin Valocordin, by and large, have no competitors among sedatives. They have a similar effect: they relieve the excitability of the central nervous system and have a calming effect. Then the question arises: “Valoserdin or Valocordin - which is better?” In order to understand which sedative to choose, you need to look at each of them in detail and find out what differences there are.
special instructions
Valoserdin contains ethyl alcohol and bromine. Alcohol-containing sedative drops are not prescribed to children, as well as adults who, by occupation, perform potentially hazardous work. The component of ethylbromoisovalerate - bromine - is absorbed when taken orally, but when consumed regularly it accumulates and is very slowly excreted from the body by the kidneys. Instructions for use of Valoserdin require taking into account the following circumstances:
- If therapy is necessary during lactation, the child must be switched to artificial feeding.
- Alcohol enhances the effect of Valoserdin and its toxicity.
- Due to possible drowsiness, during the daytime it is prohibited to work with moving mechanisms or other activities that require a quick mental and motor reaction, including driving vehicles.
You can take drops only as prescribed by a doctor. Long-term use of the drug leads to the development of drug dependence and bromine poisoning. During therapy, it is recommended to refrain from performing work that requires special attention and reaction speed.
Valocordin
Valocordin is a combination drug that has hypnotic, sedative and antispasmodic effects. A convenient release form in the form of drops for internal use allows you to accurately calculate the dosage of the product. The components are ethyl bromosivalerate, phenobarbital, hop and peppermint oils, ethanol.
The drug is used for treatment in the following situations:
- problems in the functioning of the cardiovascular system;
- overexcited states;
- stress, neurosis.
Contraindications for use
Typically, the components of the drug do not cause adverse reactions, but there are still contraindications for use, although they are few:
- pregnancy and lactation;
- pathologies of internal organs (liver and kidneys);
- intolerance to the components of the drug;
- children's age (up to 18 years).
Precautionary measures must be observed in case of traumatic brain injuries and brain diseases; taking the drug may cause an inadequate reaction. You should also not take the medicine simultaneously with alcohol, as this can cause irreparable damage to your health.
Method of administration and dosage
The drops are diluted in a small amount of water and drunk before meals. The duration of administration and dosage should be prescribed by the doctor based on the patient’s complaints and general condition. The instructions indicate that the drug is taken 20 drops 3 times a day.
Side effects and overdose
Valocordin has a mild effect on the body and in most cases is easily tolerated. However, you should be warned about possible side effects of the drug:
- apathy, signs of prolonged depression;
- conjunctivitis or rhinitis may occur;
- poor coordination of movements;
- in rare cases, skin reactions may occur (rash, burning, itching).
An overdose of a drug can result in the following manifestations:
- mild cases – drowsiness, lethargy, psychomotor disorders;
- severe cases of overdose - sudden jumps in blood pressure, tachycardia, impaired respiratory function.
Sometimes a severe overdose of the drug leads to disastrous consequences: vascular collapse, coma, death.
Reception features
Taking Valocordin imposes certain restrictions on a person. During breastfeeding, the drug should be discontinued. Since the drops contain ethanol and phenobarbital, this can cause a lethargic and drowsy state in various situations. This condition can especially occur due to the simultaneous use of Valocordin and alcohol, which is unacceptable.
Long-term use of significant dosages of a sedative can cause alarming consequences, such as:
- formation of drug dependence;
- oversaturation with bromine, which will lead to poisoning and, consequently, serious consequences for the body.
Drug compatibility
Sedatives enhance the effect of Valocordin. Alcohol also enhances the effect of the drug, and at the same time significantly increases its toxicity. Combined use with antipsychotics or tranquilizers enhances the effect of each drug. But anticoagulants and antibiotics are not intended to be taken together with Valocordin, so this combination should be avoided.
Indications for use
The annotation for the drug Valoserdin contains a specific list of reasons for taking drops orally. Moreover, in each case one should act taking into account the peculiarities and specificity of pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic properties.
Most often, drops are used for:
- sinus type of tachycardia - a disturbance of the heart rhythm, manifested by an increase in the frequency of myocardial contractions at the same intervals between them;
- insomnia – is a symptom of many pathologies;
- neuroses, which are accompanied by unmotivated aggression, anger, irritability against the background of hormonal imbalances, severe stress, and mental illness.
Valoserdin is not used for cardiac tachycardia if the innervation of the heart muscle is impaired. It should also be borne in mind that even minimal exposure to adrenaline for the purpose of biochemical stimulation should not be done without the use of beta blockers.
Sleep disturbances are a common symptom of malfunctions of the nervous and cardiovascular systems. Biorhythm disorder also occurs in severe diseases, in which Valoserdin is able to alleviate the patient’s well-being.
In addition, this deviation may be caused by individual characteristics or be the body’s reaction to:
- weather;
- climate change;
- unfavorable environmental factors.
Valoserdin (the instructions for use also list neuroses among the indications for use) helps to balance the psycho-emotional state of patients, which changes against the background of stress, anxiety and pathological biochemical processes.
Such neurosis-like conditions do not require special treatment and are limited to the use of drugs such as Valoserdin or its analogues. A striking example of neurosis is premenstrual syndrome. Valerian extract and phenobarbital are necessary to reduce the severity of symptoms of emotional instability.
Indications for the use of Valoserdin include other disorders, the treatment of which does not require the use of antidepressants or tranquilizers. Such problems include cardioneurosis, which is caused by excessive excitability of the central nervous system and the transmission of powerful nerve impulses to the heart muscle to expand its functions.
Cardioneurosis may be accompanied by tachycardia and pain, falsely perceived by patients as a myocardial infarction. Thanks to Valoserdin, it is possible to stop the development of pathology and stop an incipient attack.
The second group of indications for the use of Valoserdin are spasms, as well as spastic pain syndromes. For example, in case of spasm of heart vessels caused by coronary insufficiency, drops are not capable of radically changing blood flow in the myocardium, since they are not emergency drugs. At the same time, you can count on Valoserdin in case of sudden onset spastic pain.
This category of indications also includes intestinal spasms, which often appear in patients with functional disorders of the digestive system. In cases of intestinal motility disorders, the medication is used to reduce the tone of the smooth muscles of the organ.
It is important to remember that Valoserdin does not treat colitis, duodenitis, intestinal obstruction, constipation and other gastrointestinal pathologies. Drops can also be taken for irritable bowel syndrome.
Valoserdin
Now you should focus on Valoserdin, which has a similar effect to Valocordin. The drug contains the same ethyl bromizovalerianate, phenobarbital, and peppermint. The drops calm the overexcited nervous system and help eliminate insomnia due to the inclusion of phenobarbital in the drug. The content of peppermint has a vasodilator and antispasmodic effect. Many people succumb to discussions about whether Valoserdin lowers blood pressure or not. In this case, you should know that manufacturers do not intentionally include this effect in the drug, however, the activity of this effect is observed in some people, since Valoserdin has a vasodilating effect.
Indications for use of Valoserdin
Indications for use are as follows: nervous conditions accompanied by severe irritability, disorders of the heart, vascular system, sleep disturbances, tachycardia.
Many people mistakenly exaggerate the effect of the drug, believing that Valoserdin cures heart disease. The drops do not have any global therapeutic effect on the heart. Their purpose is limited to preventing disorders in the functioning of the cardiovascular and nervous systems, caused by anxiety, depression, and stress. To put it in simpler terms, using drops you can relieve hypochondriacal syndrome, and this is where their therapeutic effect ends. Drops do not directly treat diseases associated with pathologies of the cardiovascular or nervous systems.
Release form
The drops have a transparent liquid form and a specific odor. The drug is bottled in glass tubes of 15, 25 and 50 ml. It contains oregano oil, ethyl bromizovalerianate, ethyl alcohol, phenobarbital and peppermint oil.
Method of use of the drug
Valoserdin is taken orally, this should be done before meals, diluting the drops in a small amount of water. The attending physician prescribes the dosage to each patient individually.
In most cases, adults are prescribed 20-25 drops, taken 3 times a day. For tachycardia, the dose is increased within 35-40 drops. The duration of taking Valoserdin depends on the patient’s condition; there are no special instructions in this regard in the annotation.
Side effects
The medicine is generally well tolerated, even if taken for a long time. Only some people experience symptoms such as daytime sleepiness and slight dizziness. But, despite such good indications of the drug, you should not get carried away with its long-term use. If you constantly calm the body with Valoserdin, addiction will occur and the effectiveness of the drops will decrease. As a result, you will have to increase the dose to achieve the effect. Also, constant use of the drug in large doses can lead to bromine poisoning, which can lead to disturbances in the functioning of the nervous system. Manifestations such as depression, impaired coordination, and apathy may occur. In addition, poisoning may be accompanied by inflammation and rashes on the skin. Patients complain of the appearance of conjunctivitis, diathesis, and rhinitis.
Research suggests that constant use of Valoserdin in large quantities has a negative effect on sexual function and causes a number of serious neurological disorders: problems with speech and memory, unsteadiness in movement.
Should I accept it or not?
There is a known case when, after taking 125 ml of the drug for three days, the patient was hospitalized with acute phenobarbital poisoning. In fact, this substance is psychotropic. Many attempts have been made to ban the sale of phenobarbital drugs, but they have come to nothing. The drops are freely available and you don’t even need a prescription to purchase them.
Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
Valoserdin, instructions for use of which are described later in the article, is taken to suppress the functions of the central nervous system. This effect is achieved by reducing the speed of transmission of nerve impulses as a result of exposure to the barbiturate - phenobarbital. A generalized change in the functioning of nerve receptors results from a slowdown in the activity of synoptic connections.
The effect produced by the components of Valoserdin is short-term and unstable. In addition, as experts note, the result of use in two different patients may differ: in one person the symptoms will disappear, while in another they will be only partially relieved. This is the main reason why this drug and its analogues cannot be considered as a full-fledged drug for monotherapy.
Researchers are still debating the real effectiveness of drugs in this group. Some experts are confident that Valoserdin, Corvalol, Valocordin, tincture of valerian or motherwort are completely useless and ineffective for the cardiovascular and nervous system.
Verified information on the pharmacokinetics of Valoserdin is not yet available. Provided the dosage and timing of use of sedative drops are observed, the drug acts immediately after ingestion over the next 2-3 hours. It is also known that the ethyl alcohol contained in its composition is a toxic substance, so frequent use of drops is not recommended.
What's the difference?
It is already clear that both drugs are endowed with identical properties: they calm the excited nervous system and have a sedative effect. So how might the drugs differ? Which drug should be preferred - Valoserdin or Valocordin?
Valoserdin, produced in Russia, is an identical analogue of Valocordin (a German drug). It should be noted that Valocordin began to be produced much earlier; its production first started in Germany in 1912. The drug was the most popular and effective sedative at that time. Both drugs are commercially available. Their main difference (except for the fact that one drug contains oregano oil, and the second does not) is only the price. Valoserdin is a more expensive drug.
Which drug is best for heart pain?
Corvalol has a stronger sedative effect. In addition to the sedative effect, it has an effect similar to a tranquilizer. Corvalol contains phenobarbital. Therefore, the drug is addictive with prolonged use. The drug should also not be taken for drug and alcohol addiction, unlike a similar sedative.
I take Validol to relieve pain in the heart area. The product helps with motion sickness, neurosis, and hysteria. Corvalol is taken for smooth muscle spasms due to diseases of the intestines and cardiovascular system. It is often used for high blood pressure, neuralgia, mild heart pain, and intestinal spasms.
Based on the above, it can be understood that these drugs have practically nothing in common, except for belonging to the same group (sedatives).
The only similarity lies in the scope of their application; they are both means of emergency assistance in case of unexpected disturbances in the functioning of the cardiovascular system.
Corvalol is a combined sedative drug with an antispasmodic effect (antispasmodic), which calms the nervous system. The main form of release is drops. Active ingredients: ethyl ester of a-bromoisovaleric acid (0.2 mg/1 ml), mint oil, phenobarbital. The drug has a specific pungent odor.
Corvalol is an antispasmodic that normalizes the nervous system. Ethyl ester of a-bromoisovaleric acid irritates receptors located on the mucous membranes of the oral cavity and nasopharynx. This allows you to eliminate excitation of the reflex section of the nervous system, stop the pulsation of neurons in the cerebral cortex, and reduce the activity of vasomotor centers.
This effect allows you to relieve pain and eliminate spasms. In other words, the drug has a tranquilizing effect; the higher the dosage, the less active the reflectors and neurons become. When taken orally, absorption of Corvalol occurs in the sublingual region.
Corvalol is often used as a first aid remedy for antispasmodic heart pain, difficulty breathing, high blood pressure (to dilate blood vessels), and eliminate convulsive syndrome. Clinical indications for use include:
- Elimination of initial symptoms of nervousness.
- Sleep cycle disorders.
- Stressful conditions, nervousness, irritability.
- Excited state of the body, anxiety, apathy.
- Narrowing of the lumen of the coronary vessels.
- Tachycardia.
- Primary stages of hypertension.
- Chronic or long-term increases in blood pressure.
This drug is also used in complex treatment.
Mode of application
Drops are intended for oral use. It is necessary to dissolve the required number of drops in water and drink in one gulp. The dosage is calculated according to the doctor's prescription. To enhance the effect, the drops can be mixed with sugar or dripped onto a cube of refined sugar. Glucose will speed up the absorption of the medicine into the blood.
Drink drops 2-3 times a day, regardless of meals. The drug has a temporary effect and can cause addiction and dependence in the body, so the duration of the course rarely exceeds 7 days.
Despite its simplicity and prevalence, Corvalol has a fairly large list of contraindications, which include:
- Chronic diseases or severe disturbances in the functioning of the kidneys, liver and gallbladder.
- Heart failure.
- Epileptic syndrome.
- Mechanical brain damage (open, closed skull injuries).
- Inflammatory diseases of the cerebral cortex.
- Pregnancy.
Basically, Corvalol is suitable for all people, and is tolerated by them absolutely asymptomatically. However, in isolated cases, disturbances in the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract may occur, heaviness in the stomach, burning, nausea, vomiting may appear, drowsiness and fatigue may appear.
In large dosages, Corvalol can cause a feeling of wakefulness, mental confusion, ataxia, hallucinations, significantly reduces blood pressure, and provokes fainting. Long-term use of the drug can lead to liver disorders and cause anemia.
Validol is a medication that is also a sedative and has a moderate reflex vasodilator effect, stabilizes the central nervous system, and also helps relieve attacks of nausea and headaches.
General information about Validol
Taking the drug helps increase the level of enkephalins and endorphins - peptides that regulate vascular permeability. The effect can be observed after an average of five minutes. The components of the drug are menthol solution and methyl ether. Validol is produced in the form of white tablets, less often in the form of capsules.
The compatibility of drugs largely depends on the dose taken. The higher the dose of each medicine you take, the higher your risk of side effects or negative reactions. Due to the fact that both medications have a sedative effect, abuse of both drugs can lead to coma or syncope - a short-term loss of consciousness, which is caused by reduced blood supply to the brain.
There is no clear answer which is better – “Validol” or “Corvalol” – for pain in the heart area. The reason is simple: these drugs differ not only in their composition, but also in their pharmacological action. They should be used on the recommendation of a doctor or after carefully reading the instructions for the medicine.
A common quality for both Validol and Corvalol is the inability to help at the time of a heart attack. They simply have a calming effect and normalize the heartbeat.
The difference between medicines and each other is that each of them will have a different allergic reaction, since they contain different components. When choosing a medicine, this factor must be taken into account. Corvalol is contraindicated in case of renal failure or pathologies associated with liver function.
The difference between the drugs is that when using Validol there is no risk of addiction. And with Corvalol, due to the fact that it contains phenobarbital, this threat is quite high.
The effect of “Validol” and “Corvalol” on the central nervous system is also different: if the first has a slight calming effect, then an overdose of the second has a strong inhibitory effect.
When choosing a drug for systematic use, consultation with a doctor is necessary.
Compound
Validol is a sedative containing peppermint in the form of menthol and isovaleric acid menthyl ester. It is used sublingually (tablets are placed under the tongue, where they dissolve). Validol is available in the form of mint-flavored tablets.
The composition of Corvalol is slightly more complex: menthol, ethyl ester of alpha-bromoisovaleric acid and phenobarbital.
As you can see, the difference between the drugs validol and corvalol lies in the presence of phenobarbital in the latter.
Impact
Validol
Validol has a mild sedative effect; it slightly dilates the coronary arteries, and thanks to its sedative effect, it can calm the human nervous system. Validol causes reflex reactions and at the same time excites nerve endings, generally acting like menthol.
When the mucous membranes of the mouth are excited, the synthesis of endorphins, dynorphins, enkephalins and peptides is activated, which play a significant role in changing vascular permeability, pain regulation and other processes. When exposed to irritant substances, endogenous compounds are released.
The most effective sublingual use of validol gives effect no later than 5 minutes.
Due to this, validol is advisable to take for:
- Elimination of mild pain felt in the heart area. Many patients who have long suffered from chronic heart diseases keep validol in their medicine cabinet as an emergency drug.
- Calming the nervous system during hysterics and neuroses.
- Validol in the form of tablets or drops is often used for symptoms of seasickness; they relieve the passenger’s anxiety well.
But it should be borne in mind that in case of severe heart pain, validol, unlike nitroglycerin, turns out to be useless, as in the case of severe neurotic disorders. And after its use, the diagnosis of many severe pathologies becomes more complicated.
Therefore, if you have severe pressing, squeezing or stabbing pain behind the sternum, you should not rely on it, but it is better to immediately call an ambulance. Only with the help of the latter, in the event of the development of severe cardiac pathology, can the patient’s life be saved.
Corvalol
The phenobarbital present in it has both a sedative, hypnotic and tranquilizing effect.
Essential oils and menthol irritate the receptors in the mouth with a feeling of cold, which reflexively dilates the blood vessels of the heart and brain, relieves spasms of smooth muscles, they also provide a slight choleretic and calming effect.
Mint gives an antispasmodic and antiseptic effect, eliminates flatulence. Corvalol and validol can be used simultaneously if a reflex action is required.
Corvalol also has the following effects:
- Antispasmodic effect, due to which spasms of smooth muscles located in internal organs and blood vessels are quickly eliminated. Corvalol is especially effective when affecting coronary and peripheral vessels, as well as the intestines. After using Corvalol, a decrease in heart rate may occur.
- It has a pronounced calming effect provided by phenobarbital. But overdose or prolonged use can be addictive and cause some complications.
- Hypnotic effect thanks to the same phenobarbital.
Corvalol is widely used to eliminate mild heart pain, lower blood pressure, and is also useful for neuralgic disorders. It is dosed in drops in quantities not exceeding the therapeutic norm, since an overdose can lead to severe hypotension, respiratory and cardiac dysfunction.
Action of Validol
How is Valocordin different from Valoserdin?
Chronic stress is considered a risk factor for the development of many diseases, including cardiovascular pathology, endocrinopathies and malignant neoplasms. Sleep disturbances, imbalance of work and rest, and the need to make quick decisions cause constant stress on the nervous system, which is manifested by symptoms in various organs. Heart pain, prolonged anxiety, throbbing headaches, and insomnia require medication. The most used drugs to relieve symptoms are Valocordin and Valoserdin.
Compound similarities
To eliminate the symptoms that develop against the background of cardiac pathology, doctors recommend taking medications such as Corvalol or Validol. Despite the fact that these medications have much in common, they have many differences that must be taken into account when taking the medication.
To eliminate the symptoms that develop against the background of cardiac pathology, doctors recommend taking medications such as Corvalol or Validol.
This is a drug that has sedative, vasodilator and antispasmodic effects. Available in the form of drops and tablets.
The main components are peppermint leaf oil, phenobarbital and alpha bromoisovaleric acid ester.
The antispasmodic effect of the drug is due to irritation of receptors in the oral cavity and nasopharynx, increased inhibition in the nerve cells of the cortex and subcortical structures of the brain, activity of the vasomotor center, decreased excitability in the central part of the nervous system and a direct antispasmodic effect on smooth muscles. As a result, the tension in the walls of internal organs and blood vessels decreases.
Thanks to phenobarbital, the active influence of the centers of the reticular formation on the cerebral cortex is suppressed, helping to reduce the excitatory currents on the cerebral cortex and subcortical regions.
This leads to the development of sedative and tranquilizing effects.
Peppermint leaf oil is rich in menthol esters and essential oils, which irritate the thermoreceptors of the oral cavity and reflexively dilate the blood vessels of the heart and brain. This eliminates smooth muscle spasms and produces a mild sedative and choleretic effect.
Patients with normal blood glucose levels can take Corvalol by dropping it on a piece of sugar, which is kept in the mouth until completely dissolved.
Peppermint oil has antiseptic properties and eliminates flatulence due to irritation of receptors in the mucous membrane of the digestive tract and increased intestinal motility. Corvalol begins to act in 15-45 minutes, and the therapeutic effect lasts 3-6 hours.
Patients with normal blood glucose levels can take the drug by dropping it on a piece of sugar, which is kept in the mouth until completely dissolved. Diabetics cannot use this method.
Indications for use:
- neuroses accompanied by increased irritability;
- coronary vasospasm and tachycardia;
- insomnia;
- hypertension;
- VSD;
- intestinal spasms caused by neurovegetative disorders.
Contraindications include:
- hepatic porphyria;
- severe forms of CHF;
- excessive sensitivity to bromine;
- intolerance to the components of the product;
- myocardial infarction;
- severe arterial hypotension;
- diabetes;
- myasthenia gravis;
- respiratory tract diseases with shortness of breath;
- obstructive syndrome.
People with liver disease and epilepsy should be careful when taking the drug.
Taking Corvalol can lead to the development of the following side effects:
- heaviness in the epigastric region, vomiting, impaired liver function, nausea, constipation;
- ataxia, dizziness, hallucinations, paradoxical arousal, fatigue, slow reactions, impaired coordination of movements, weakness, nystagmus, confusion, drowsiness, headache, cognitive impairment;
- Quincke's edema;
- allergic reactions in the form of itching and skin rashes;
- difficulty breathing;
- bradycardia;
- arterial hypotension.
If the drug is used for a long time, the following conditions may develop: central nervous system depression, lacrimation, depression, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, ataxia, confusion.
Action of Validol
This is a sedative and vasodilator, which is available in the form of tablets and capsules. The main component is levomenthol solution in menthyl isovalerate. Excipients include sucrose and calcium stearate.
Validol is obtained by dissolving menthol in menthyl isovalerate, and it is recommended to place the drug under the tongue.
As a result, in the oral cavity, menthol begins to irritate the nerve endings that are located on the mucous membrane, due to which the blood vessels begin to narrow reflexively.
Validol has a calming effect, which is why it is used for painful conditions associated with the cardiovascular system.
Menthyl isovalerate stimulates the production and further release of peptides and the mediator histamine in the central nervous system. The combined influence of such substances acts as a sedative and analgesic compound.
Validol helps reduce pain and improve peripheral circulation.
In addition, this medication has a calming effect, which is why it is used for painful conditions that are associated with the cardiovascular system.
The drug is quickly absorbed in the oral cavity, and the maximum concentration of the drug in the blood is observed within a few minutes. The drug is excreted in urine and bile.
Validol is widely used in the following cases:
- hysteria;
- headache;
- neuroses;
- cardialgia;
- motion sickness syndrome (“sea sickness”);
- angina pectoris.
Contraindications include intolerance to the components of the drug. People suffering from diabetes mellitus should exercise caution when taking Validol.
The following side effects may occur while taking the medication:
- hives;
- itching;
- skin rash;
- Quincke's edema.
In case of an overdose, nausea, dizziness, and lacrimation may occur.
The only similarity of the drugs is that they are used in case of an unexpected malfunction in the cardiovascular system, and they help to quickly relieve symptoms of neurological and cardiac disorders that are caused by functional disorders. But at the same time, medications do not affect the cause of the pathology.
Corvalol has a stronger sedative effect. In addition, it can have an effect similar to a tranquilizer.
The drug contains phenobarbital, which causes addiction to the medication with prolonged use. This drug, unlike Validol, is prohibited from taking for alcohol and drug addiction.
Validol is used to relieve pain in the heart area. This drug helps well with motion sickness, hysteria, and neuroses.
It is used for spasms of smooth muscles that occur against the background of diseases of the cardiovascular system and intestines. Validol is often used for mild heart pain, neuralgia, and high blood pressure.
Corvalol has several times more contraindications and side effects.
This question is difficult to answer, because these are different drugs that differ in composition and mechanism of action.
After completion of treatment, Corvalol often causes withdrawal symptoms.
Validol is safer in this regard. But only the doctor must decide which medication is best, taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient’s body.
Which is cheaper?
The price of Corvalol is 100 rubles, Validol is 45 rubles.
Such drugs are considered interchangeable. If necessary, Corvalol can be replaced with Validol. To enhance the therapeutic effect, simultaneous medication is sometimes prescribed.
Doctors' opinion

It relieves pain, spasms, slows down the pulse and makes breathing easier in case of severe anxiety. It is sold in pharmacies without a prescription, and the price of Validol is affordable for everyone. It extremely rarely causes harm to the body.”
Patient reviews
Maxim, 27 years old, Cheboksary: “I often take Corvalol the day after drinking alcohol, when my hands are shaking badly, my head hurts, and my heart is ready to jump out of my chest. The drug quickly eliminates such symptoms.”
Antonina, 65 years old, Volgograd: “For heart pain, I always put Validol under my tongue. It quickly relaxes and improves your psycho-emotional state. Anxious thoughts go away, shortness of breath, dizziness and chest pain are eliminated. I only use it in emergencies.”
The composition of Validol is simple and concise. The medicine contains:
- Menthol. It has a calming, antipruritic, anesthetic, antiseptic, and analgesic effect. In the preparation it also acts as a natural, soothing substance.
- Isovaleric acid. It is a colorless liquid with a specific aroma. The substance is found in the roots of valerian officinalis, whose beneficial properties have long been used in pharmaceuticals. Isovaleric acid has a powerful sedative effect, which has a positive effect on the nervous system, calming it.

Tablets often contain glucose and sucrose, so diabetics are better off using drops.
Both active ingredients are of natural origin and therefore are considered harmless to the human body. Tablets often contain glucose and sucrose, so diabetics are better off using drops.
The composition of Corvalol is a little more complicated. It includes plant and synthetic components:
- Alpha-bromoisovaleric acid ester and ethyl alcohol. They affect receptors in the oral cavity, reducing the excitability of nerve endings. Their action is similar to valerian.
- Phenobarbital. A sedative that can cause drowsiness, relaxation, and also reduce reaction speed. Therefore, the dosage of the medication cannot be exceeded.
- Peppermint oil. Contains menthol and essential oils. Due to them, the blood vessels of the heart dilate and gastric peristalsis increases.

What are Valocordin and Valoserdin used for?
The drugs Valocordin and Valoserdina belong to the group of hypnotics and sedatives that contain phenobarbital and a derivative of valeric acid.
The active substances of the drugs have different points of application:
- phenobarbital is a barbiturate that has a pronounced anticonvulsant effect (when used in high and medium therapeutic doses). The inhibitory property of the drug is due to interaction with barbituric receptors in the central and peripheral nervous system. When binding, impulse transmission through nerve fibers is inhibited, and the excitation threshold for neurons increases. In small doses, the substance is used to relieve neurovegetative disorders;
- ethyl bromizovalerianate (ethyl ester of alpha-bromoisovaleric acid) is a substance that has a moderate anti-anxiety (tranquilizing) effect. The effect occurs when exposed to GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) - receptors on neurons. GABA is the main inhibitory neurotransmitter of the central nervous system. Slowing down metabolism in neurons and reducing utilization contributes to a longer-lasting influence of the mediator on the conduction of impulses.
The use of two sedatives in combination with excipients causes a pronounced sedative effect. The main indications for the use of Valocordin and Valoserdin:
- functional disorders of the cardiovascular system (feeling of discomfort behind the sternum, pain during severe emotional shocks without signs of organic damage to muscles or arteries);
- cardialgic variant of vegetative-vascular dystonia;
- neuroses, which are accompanied by an increased level of anxiety and fear;
- personality accentuations (especially in the hysterical type);
- sleep disturbance (insomnia, nightmares, frequent waking up);
- psychosomatically caused disorders (objective symptoms that arise after strong experiences).
- autonomic disorders that occur with strong arousal.
In clinical practice, both drugs are prescribed to people with emotional lability, more often to women after 40 years of age.
Is Corvalol compatible with alcohol?
Corvalol, corvaldin, valocordin and valoserdin are incompatible with alcohol.
Corvalol, corvaldin, valocordin and valoserdin contain phenobarbital, which is incompatible with alcohol.
Phenobarbital itself is not a harmless substance; after taking it, delirium can occur even stronger than alcohol: with a coma, impaired brain function and pain during withdrawal (withdrawal as after opiate drugs).
Phenobarbital is on the list of psychotropic substances, has bad side effects, and currently doctors are not very fond of using it. Moreover, now there are more effective and gentle drugs.
The instructions for use state that alcohol enhances the effects of valocordin and valoserdin and can increase their toxicity.
Phenobarbital can induce microsomal liver enzymes, and this makes its simultaneous use with drugs that are metabolized in the liver undesirable, since their concentration, and therefore the effect, will change. And alcohol is metabolized in the liver.
Among other things, Corvalol and Valocordin, even when used correctly, slow down the reaction rate, which may be unsafe - for example, while staying on the street or while driving a car. This is especially pronounced when taking phenobarbital and alcohol simultaneously.
The instructions for use indicate that valocordin is contraindicated in alcoholism, and valocordin can be taken by alcoholics only with extreme caution (preferably under the supervision of a doctor).
Can you drink?
There are other medications containing phenobarbital: andipal, pentalgin, tetralgin, luminal. It is also undesirable to combine these drugs with alcohol. Be careful and always read the instructions for medications before taking them.
jpg" alt="How dangerous is it to take Corvalol and Valocordin with alcohol"{amp}gt;
Preparations containing phenobarbital are incompatible with alcohol. This rule applies to Corvalol, Valocordin, Valoserdin.
You can drink such heart remedies some time before drinking alcohol, or after drinking libations, having agreed upon this possibility with your doctor.
Corvalol is created on the basis of phenobarbital. This substance belongs to the group of psychotropics, which requires extremely careful use of the drug.
Combining Corvalol and alcohol can provoke:
- Severe delirium (mental disorder).
- Impaired brain function.
- Pain in various parts of the body.
- Withdrawal syndrome, reminiscent of withdrawal in drug addicts.
- Comatose states.
The instructions included with Corvalol contain information regarding its incompatibility with alcoholic beverages.
Ethanol can greatly enhance the toxic properties of this drug, as well as unwanted side effects.
If shortly before or after taking Corvalol a person drinks even a small amount of alcohol, this can cause the development of negative consequences (pronounced “inhibition” and others).
Valocordin and alcohol are an equally dangerous combination. This drug also contains phenobarbital, the combination of which even with small doses of alcohol is fraught with the development of colic, tachycardia, and increased load on the liver.
- a sharp drop in blood pressure;
- coordination and speech disorders;
- dizziness;
- confusion.
Valocordin is also unsafe in case of severe hangover. In such a condition, there is a possibility of developing serious disturbances in the functioning of the cardiovascular system, leading to myocardial infarction and coronary heart disease.
Also, you should not take Corvalol or other drugs containing phenobarbital while on a binge. In this state, their use can result in coma and the need for serious treatment.
Phenobarbital is also contained in Valoserdin, Tetralgin, Pentalgin, Luminal, and therefore you should avoid taking them simultaneously with alcoholic beverages.
If you have already drunk alcohol, you should wait at least 24 hours before taking a phenobarbital-based drug. If a hangover is present, the medication can only be taken after the condition has normalized.
There will be a similar explanation as to whether Valocordin can be taken after alcohol. This remedy is also allowed after 24 hours of drinking.
Corvalol is taken after alcohol in a standard dosage. Calculate 1 drop of the product for each year of life. You can drink Valocordin after alcohol, 15-30 drops, twice or thrice during the day. The result of using these drugs is the elimination of insomnia, anxiety, palpitations, and residual vegetative manifestations of a hangover.
If Corvalol or other similar medications do not have the desired effect, you can replace them with Doxylamine. This drug is also available in drops and provides a pronounced sedative and hypnotic effect on the body.
If insomnia, rapid heartbeat or high blood pressure develops from a hangover, milder sedatives can be used. These include:
- Valerian.
- Glycine.
- Novo-passit.
- Picamilon.
For tachycardia that develops after a hangover, it is recommended to take Grandaxin. It does not contain phenobarbital, which is why it is considered safer for the body. The standard dosage of this product is 1-2 tablets during the day, no more than 3 times a day. At the age of over 65 years, the dose is recommended to be halved.
If blood pressure rises after drinking strong drinks or there are signs of a hangover, you should take magnesium sulfate (magnesia). When the pressure exceeds the usual by 20% or more, and your health worsens, you should stop trying to improve your condition on your own and call an ambulance at home.
It is also necessary to contact the clinic in case of exacerbation of existing diseases - pancreatitis, heart failure, renal colic.
Proven folk remedies based on medicinal plants help restore the nervous system damaged by a hangover:
- motherwort decoction;
- mint infusion.
Motherwort decoction helps fight insomnia, high blood pressure, and calms weak nerves. To prepare the composition 1 tbsp. l. dry herbs, pour 250 ml of hot water, cook for 20 minutes in a water bath. Next, infuse for half an hour, filter and drink 100 ml three times a day before meals.
Mint infusion works in a similar way. This plant improves well-being by neutralizing toxins and having a calming effect on the central nervous system. 2 tsp. of plant raw materials, brew 300 ml of boiling water, leave for half an hour, and take a little while coming out of the binge.
Comparing Valocordin and Valoserdin | Determining the best
The drugs Valocordin and Valoserdin are analogues. However, the first one is already considered outdated and ineffective. We compared the features of the products to understand their key differences.

Valoserdin: indications, side effects, contraindications
Active substances normalize the functioning of the heart muscle. The action of the plant extract is aimed at coordinating the work of blood vessels and preventing the occurrence of acute spasms.
The drug Valoserdin is recommended for use for the following abnormalities in the body:
- increased nervousness
- hot temper
- sleep disturbance
- discomfort in the heart muscle
- frequent pressure surges
- deformation of the walls of blood vessels leading to spasms
- increased work of the heart muscle
- painful spasms in the gastrointestinal tract
Valoserdin is contraindicated in the following conditions of the body:
- allergic reaction to the active components of the drug
- abnormalities in the liver and kidneys
- during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- age restrictions
- alcohol addiction
- head injuries.
For reassurance
If the dosage of the drug is abused, the following manifestations are possible:
- indifference and lethargy
- infection of the optic organ
- inflammation of the nasal mucosa
- depressive state
- bleeding disorder
- not entirely coordinated work of the limbs
- lethargy and dizziness
With a significant overdose of the drug, tachycardia and improper functioning of the respiratory system occur. In the most severe cases, blood pressure drops sharply and coma occurs. If such symptoms occur, urgent consultation with a doctor and rinsing of the body is necessary.
The simultaneous use of drugs with similar effects leads to undesirable results.
Before taking multiple medications, pay attention to their interactions:
- When used simultaneously with sedatives, the effect of Valoserdin doubles.
- The components of Valoserdin increase the effect of psychotropic drugs and tranquilizers.
- Inhibits the effect of drugs that stimulate the central nervous system.
- Consuming the drug with alcohol turns the beneficial effect of Valoserdin into toxic.
- Reduces the effectiveness of antimicrobial drugs, antibiotics and anticoagulants.
- The active substance phenobarbital reduces the protective functions of contraceptives and some antifungal drugs.
- Increases the toxic properties of methotrexate.
- inflammation of the conjunctiva;
- depression;
- motor coordination disorder;
- diathesis with hemorrhagic symptoms;
- inflammation of the nasal mucosa;
- addiction to the medicine.
With minor and moderate poisoning, signs of drowsiness, impaired coordination of movements, and vertigo are recorded. In severe poisoning with the drug, an increase in heart rate, a drop in blood pressure, a weakening of peripheral reflexes, and vascular collapse with a coma were noted. If any collateral complications not described in the information leaflet occur, it is recommended to report them to your doctor.
General description of the drug Valocordin
The sedative and vasodilator Valocordin was released in 1963 and became widespread due to its safety and wide spectrum of action. Now considered obsolete and replaced by the drugs Corvalol and Valoserdin.
Manufacturing company – Crevel Meuselbach, Germany. Available in the form of drops in bottles of 20 and 50 ml.
The composition contains phenobarbital and ethyl bromizovalerianate. Additionally, there is peppermint, hop oil, ethyl alcohol, and water.
Research and effectiveness
Phenobarbital, which is included in the composition, is included in the list of psychotropic substances. However, Valocordin contains little of it, so it remains over-the-counter.
At a meeting of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences committee in 2007, Valocordin was recognized as an outdated medicine with unproven effectiveness.
Valocordin is not a cardiac drug, but only has a sedative effect.
Source:
RESOLUTION of the Meeting of the Presidium of the Formal Committee of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences on 03.2007.
Contraindications
Not prescribed for hypersensitivity to active components. Do not take if you have severe diseases of the kidneys or hepatobiliary system. Prescribed with caution for head injuries and brain pathologies.
The drops contain alcohol, so they are not recommended for alcoholism. Not prescribed for people under 18 years of age, during pregnancy and lactation.
Drops can affect concentration. The negative effects are especially noticeable when consumed simultaneously with alcohol.
The sedative is addictive with prolonged use. It is not recommended for use by people with a tendency to drug addiction.
Side effects
The use of Valocordin may be accompanied by the following undesirable symptoms:
Side effects are more often observed with a long course of treatment with a sedative.
Taken orally after meals, washed down with water. The dosage is determined individually, as is the duration of treatment. The standard dose for adults is 15-20 drops 3 times a day. For sleep disorders, it is permissible to increase the dosage to 30 drops.
Contraindications
Valoserdin soothing drops cannot be used in all cases.
Restrictions on the use of the drug are:
- minor age;
- pregnancy and lactation;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug;
- renal or liver failure;
- porphyrin disease.
Valoserdin is not prescribed to children and adolescents. The drug is also contraindicated in pregnant women, regardless of trimester. Phenobarbital helps relax the uterine muscles and reduces the tone of the organ, which can lead to the threat of miscarriage.
In addition, this substance can affect hemodynamics and provoke disorders in the development of the fetus. For the same reason, Valoserdin is not used during lactation: phenobarbital passes into breast milk, and this component is especially dangerous for children under 1 year of age.
Valoserdin
An allergic reaction to the components of the drug is another factor in the presence of which Valoserdin cannot be used. Most often, the immune system gives a painful response to peppermint and valerian, so those who will take the drops for the first time should start with a minimum dosage to ensure normal tolerability of the drug.
Skin rashes, red spots, swelling, sore throat, shortness of breath indicate an allergy - in this case, you must immediately stop using the product and consult a doctor to select an analogue.
If you have problems with your kidneys or liver, Valoserdin should not be taken. To complete the full pharmacokinetic cycle of phenobarbital and ethanol, the active work of these both vital organs is required.
If at least one of them is dysfunctional, the active substance will not be able to transform and will leave the body in its original form, which can lead to toxic damage to the liver or kidneys.
The instructions for use of Valoserdin indicate another contraindication - porphyria. This is a congenital genetic disease associated with metabolic disorders. With this pathology, sedative drops will act as a catalyst for the pathological process, which will only provoke a negative reaction from the body.
General description of the drug Valoserdin
The sedative Valoserdin is a modern analogue of Valocordin. The composition also includes phenobarbital and ethyl bromizovalerianate. Additionally, the product contains mint oil, hop oil, ethanol and water. Manufacturer: Moscow Pharmaceutical Factory, Russia. Sold in bottles of 15, 25 and 50 ml.
Valoserdin has a specific odor and no color. Drops are often used to relieve symptoms of cardiovascular diseases. The action of the medicine is aimed at dilating blood vessels, calming, relaxing, reducing excitability, and getting rid of problems with falling asleep.
Research and effectiveness
Preparations containing phenobarbital are prohibited in many countries, due to the consequences of its effect on the body. Abuse of barbiturates can cause problems with the liver, brain, and heart. Usually Valoserdin is used for long-term treatment, which is the main risk. There is a possibility of addiction and gradual poisoning of the body.
Contraindications
Valoserdin has the following contraindications for use:
pathologies of the kidneys and hepatobiliary system;
pregnancy, breastfeeding;
The drops contain more than 3 g of alcohol per daily dose, so they are prohibited for brain diseases and alcoholism.
Side effects
It is relatively well tolerated. In rare cases, sleep disturbances, daytime drowsiness, and mild dizziness are observed. With long-term use of large doses, there is a possibility of bromine poisoning, which is accompanied by depression, apathy, diathesis, and rhinitis.
If adverse reactions occur, you should stop using the medicine.
Take before meals, dissolve in 50 ml of water. Prescribed 15-20 drops 3 times. For tachycardia, the dosage is increased to 40-150 drops. The duration of the course is determined individually by the doctor.
In case of an overdose of the drug, drowsiness, psychomotor disturbances, and dizziness are noted. In severe cases, tachycardia, respiratory failure, collapse, drop in blood pressure, and coma may occur.
Treatment for overdose includes gastric lavage and administration of enterosorbent. You need to call a doctor.
Who is it suitable for?
Drops are used in complex therapy of functional disorders of the cardiovascular system. They help with neuroses and increased irritability.
Other indications are:
increased arousal of the nervous system.
The product also has an antispasmodic effect, which is used for gastrointestinal spasms.
How to reduce blood pressure?
This is another painfully popular question for pharmacy workers. I’ll say right away that there is no answer to this and there cannot be one.
In order to select your initial treatment for hypertension, I need at least 15–20 minutes of time and knowledge of about 20 indicators (heredity, concomitant diseases, examination data, tests, etc.). Even so, there is a certain chance that the treatment will have to be adjusted, perhaps more than once.
And we want a panacea from the pharmacist in 30 seconds. The most that an exhausted pharmacist will give you under threat of a complaint is either a short-acting drug or a dummy.
Dibazole, papazole. A relic from the last century, when hypertension was considered the result of vasospasm and was treated accordingly with antispasmodics. In fact, the effect of these drugs is zero, it’s just that in some people the pressure drops on its own while they think that the drug is working. Decent people do not use these “medicines” either in tablets or in injections.
Andipal. The same antispasmodics in combination with analgin and the already familiar phenobarbital. It has nothing to do with hypertension. Another disgrace of the Russian pharmacopoeia.
Nifedipine (Corinfar). A favorite remedy for all Russian hypertensive patients to quickly lower blood pressure. I have already explained in detail why you should not use Corinfar, that the harm from a quick “collapse” of pressure outweighs the benefit, that Corinfar increases, and does not at all reduce, the risk of stroke, that it is much better to reduce the pressure smoothly and gradually, and not with a dashing cavalry charge... Vessels are bad withstand sudden pressure surges, for a rapid drop from 220 to 140 mm Hg. Art. they won't say thank you.
Captopril (capoten). This is a lesser evil in terms of treating a hypertensive crisis than Corinfar; it is even included in international recommendations as an “ambulance” drug, but there is an important nuance here. Hypertensive patients often confuse a hypertensive crisis with simply high blood pressure in an untreated person.
A hypertensive crisis is a situation when a patient receiving good, regular, obviously effective therapy suddenly experiences a sharp one-time rise in blood pressure (for example, against the background of severe stress). In this case, captopril is suitable.
But if we are talking about a person who is constantly not treated, but simply “knocks down” randomly measured high values of high blood pressure, then this is no longer the path FROM a stroke, but TO a stroke . Hypertension requires constant, daily, usually lifelong treatment.

Valoserdin and Valocordin: what is the difference?
To find out exactly how Valocordin differs from Valoserdin and which product works better, you need to carefully read the instructions for their use.
The composition of 100 g of Valoserdin drops includes:
- 2 g ethyl bromoisovalerate;
- 2 g phenobarbital;
- 0.14 g peppermint oil;
- 0.02 g oregano oil;
- 52 g of ethyl alcohol;
- purified water – up to a weight of 100 g.
1 ml of Valocordin drops contains:
- ethylbromoisovalerate – 18.40 mg;
- phenobarbital – 18.40 mg;
- peppermint oil – 1.29 mg;
- hop oil – 0.18 mg;
- ethanol – 469.75 mg;
- purified water – 411.97 mg.
Mechanism of action
The main active ingredients of both drugs are ethyl bromoisovalerianate and phenobarbital. The first relieves spasms, has a sedative (calming) and hypnotic effect. Phenobarbital, by inhibiting the processes of excitation of the nervous system, also calms and makes it easier to fall asleep.
Essential oils from plants have a similar, but less pronounced effect. Peppermint oil and oregano also help normalize intestinal function. They eliminate spasms and improve peristalsis (contractions of the intestinal walls that promote the movement of food and feces).
Valocordin and Valoserdin have such common indications as:
- state of agitation and problems falling asleep (insomnia);
- neuroses and neurosis-like conditions, accompanied by anxiety, fears, irritability;
- functional disorders of the blood vessels and heart (including heart pain, arrhythmias).
Valoserdin is also indicated as an antispasmodic (eliminates spasms) agent for intestinal disorders.
Contraindications
Common to two drugs:
- hypersensitivity to any of the components;
- pregnancy and breastfeeding;
- childhood and adolescence (under 18 years);
- severe impairment of the kidneys and liver.
in the treatment of patients with skull and brain injuries, alcohol dependence and liver diseases, special care is required, since the drugs contain alcohol.
Side effects
Adverse reactions when taking Valoserdin or Valocordin develop extremely rarely. Mainly:
- allergies with intolerance to components (in the form of redness and itching of the skin);
- daytime drowsiness and slight dizziness;
- with prolonged systematic use, signs of bromine poisoning may appear - coordination disorders, apathy or depression, runny nose).
Release forms and price
Valocordin is produced by a German pharmaceutical company and comes in the form of drops in bottles. The price of the drug depends on its quantity:
- 20 ml – 148 rub.;
- 50 ml – 306 rub.
Valoserdin are drops that are produced in Russia. The cost of the medicine is also determined by the volume of the bottle:
- 15 ml – 61 rubles;
- 25 ml – 87 rubles.
Description of Corvalol
The sedative and sedative drug Corvalol is available in the form of tablets and drops.
Produced by the Ukrainian company Farmak. Created on the basis of menthol, phenobarbital, a-bromoisovaleric acid. This is a combined remedy that was developed in 1960 as an analogue of the foreign remedy Valocordin. The bromoisovaleric acid contained in the composition has an antispasmodic and sedative effect. The substance works on a principle similar to valerian extract. In large doses, Corvalol has a hypnotic effect.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytadvertise
Phenobarbital in the composition also has a vasodilating effect without a pronounced hypnotic effect. Menthol, in turn, also promotes vasodilation and has an antispasmodic effect.
Phenobarbital in the drug is a psychotropic drug. Corvalol is available without a prescription and is not prohibited because it contains a small amount of this substance.
The sedative drug Valerian is produced in the form of a solution and tablets by Medica, Bulgaria. The action of the product is due to the content of isovaleric acid and essential oil. When taking Valerian, there is a decrease in the excitability of the nervous system. The medicine has an antispasmodic and sedative effect. The latter manifests itself slowly but steadily. It is available without a doctor's prescription and is very popular.
Valerian enhances the effect of antispasmodics and sedatives. Has a moderate hypotensive effect with long-term use. As a medicine, valerian is used in several forms - tincture, extract, herbal raw materials.
The active ingredient in the tablets is dry extract of valerian root 30 mg. The oral solution additionally contains alcohol.
Valoserdin or Valocordin - which is better?
When studying the instructions, the first noticeable difference is the difference in composition. The main active ingredients are the same (ethyl bromoisovalerate and phenobarbital) and are contained in both drugs in similar proportions. However, there is a difference in essential oils: for Valoserdin it is oregano with mint, for Valocordin it is hops with mint. Medicines also differ in manufacturer and cost. Based on this data, the advantages of each can be highlighted.
- has more indications - can additionally be used to eliminate intestinal spasms (as it contains oregano);
- costs twice as much.
The advantage of Valocordin can be considered a more pronounced sedative effect (due to hops in the composition). A conditional advantage may also be the country of production - Germany, known for the high quality of any product.
What implications do these differences have for treatment? For problems with the heart and blood vessels (arrhythmia, hypertension, etc.), the effectiveness of both drugs is the same, but you can choose a cheaper option. If you are worried about insomnia or neurosis, it is better to choose Valocordin, and for intestinal problems - Valoserdin.
Analogues and prices
Valoserdin costs, depending on the pharmacy chain and volume, from 40 rubles for a minimum volume of 15 ml to 90 rubles for a maximum volume of 50 ml.
These products contain exclusively herbal components and are therefore considered safer.
Remember that any of these drugs, although they are independent medicines, cannot cure the cause of the disease. To most effectively combat the underlying disease, Valoserdin should be taken as an additional therapy to alleviate the course of the disease. Both he and his analogues make treatment more comfortable, increase the quality of life during high stress loads, but are not the only medicine for serious disturbances in heart rhythm or blood pressure. You should remember this and consult a doctor in time.
